Parents for Parents: Supporting Families in the Child Welfare System (A112)

Description

The Parents for Parents program (P4P) connects parents who have successfully navigated the child welfare system to parents who have recently become engaged with the child welfare system. P4P's goal is to provide early outreach, education and support to parents who have entered the dependency system so they can be reconnected to their children. In this course, participants will learn about the P4P program, how the program was developed and how the program functions across the state, and how the program's parent allies provide support, knowledge and mentoring to parents new to the system.
