Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies: Supporting Pregnant Parents in All Walks of Life (D112)

Description
Supporting and working with pregnant parents is critical to the work we do as child welfare advocates. In this training, participants will learn about how to support parents who use substances and parents who have children who have been exposed to substances at birth. Participants will learn about opportunities for system development and community change through a relationship-based collaborative cross-system approach. Participants will also learn about DCYF policies around working with pregnant parents who are minors, and we will analyze how we, as advocates, can ensure minor parents can maintain autonomy over their lives and the lives of their children.
