Therapeutic Courts: Family Treatment Courts, Early Childhood Courts, and ICWA Courts (D110)


Description
A therapeutic court is a collaborative court model where teams of specialists address underlying issues and where participants engage in frequent court reviews. These therapeutic court programs often involve direct contact and communication between the participant and the judge. In this training, participants will learn about family treatment courts, early childhood courts, and ICWA courts. Participants will understand best practices in therapeutic courts. Participants will also learn strategies for advocacy on behalf of clients in the collaborative court model.
